Sunday April 8th 2007 saw the launch of a brand new church in the North East of England.

Based at Whitley Lodge First School in Whitley Bay, a small seaside resort near to Newcastle, the new Whitley Lodge Baptist Church has grown out of the former Whitley Lodge Congregation of Whitley Bay Baptist Church.

Nearly 100 people met in the school hall of Whitley Lodge First School to rejoice together as we celebrated Christ’s resurrection and our new church’s formal launch.

Now two years on we have our own pastor and a membership of over 60  - God is good!
